Dr. King graduated from the Medical College of Virginia's School of Dentistry in Richmond in 1994. She started in private practice dentistry and has become a perpetual student.

She began practicing in Griffin, Georgia and started her own practice in Locust Grove since 1997.

Dr. King achieved the prestigious Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry award in July 2006.

Only 1% of practicing dentists have achieved this award. This involved achieving over 1100 hours of continuous education in all aspects of dentistry. In July 2006 she became one of the youngest women ever to have achieved this award.

Dr. King is commitment continuing education

Her commitment to her education involved completing six levels at the Pankey Institute of Advanced dental technology, several levels of Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental technology, the Dawson Center and continuums at LSU School of Dentistry's esthetic continuum. She attends hundreds of hours of continuing education per year in order to ensure that her patients get the most up to date care possible.

Dr. King believes the more she can learn about all aspects of dentistry, the more choices she can offer her patients to help them keep their teeth.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Hinman Dental Society, Henry and Butts County Chamber of Commerce.

She is also a member of Locust Grove's revitalization of the downtown district in their Downtown Development Authority on current appointment. She is a graduate of Landmark Education Corporation and is a parishoner of St. James in McDonough, GA.

She is married to Tim Kohl and together they have one daughter, Cadance. Tim is the owner of Epic Bicycles in McDonough and has founded the Southern Crescent Bicycle Club. Together they enjoy cycling in Henry county, promoting bicycle safety. They are Henry County residents for several years.
